Synopsis

Memories unravel as Moonweft reveals a deeper cost—one that tethers thought and time to its silent shores. Mycha, unable to piece together the truth, tries to outwit forgetfulness with ink and thread. But the island waits, its horrors no longer content to whisper. As the party reaches Lorelei’s domain, death greets them not with vengeance—but inevitability.

Ch. 1
Part 1
Mycha is the first to act. With paranoia gnawing at the edges of his thoughts, he proposes a plan—convoluted, erratic, and barely stitched together. The party listens, uncertain. Then they realize something dreadful. When they leave Moonweft, memories vanish. What happens outside becomes a blur, forgotten the moment they cross back into the village. Conversations. Faces. Names. Gone. Moonweft is a curse not only of silence—but of mind. To fight it, Mycha scribbles notes to himself—desperate reminders—then ties the parchment to his wrist with thread. A makeshift memory anchor. He heads to the mayor’s hut, where he’s met by Zox: the grumpy, stone-skinned bodyguard with a shovel for a sense of humor. Mycha pesters, provokes, and finally pushes his way through. Inside, Mayor Tarlip greets him with familiar wariness. Mycha launches into questions, but his thoughts drift and loop—fragmented by the memory break. Tarlip frowns. His answers are vague, more confused by Mycha’s confusion than hostile. The conversation leads nowhere. Clarity is a broken compass in Moonweft. Mycha returns to the group. Their decision is unanimous: They must reach the island. Whatever curse holds Moonweft in stasis lies there. And Lorelei waits.
Ch. 2
Part 2
With Tharn’s reluctant assistance and a repaired lighthouse guiding the way, the party boards a skiff and sails through thick, glowing fog toward the coral island. The sea is uneasy. When they arrive, the air is still. The sand is red and warm, speckled with shards of pink coral like shattered teeth. A strange silence hums—not absence of sound, but a pressure in the ears. The stillness does not last. They are attacked. Sea-creatures rise from the waters, deformed by magic and grief. Their eyes are too wide, their movements too sharp. The battle is fierce, the terrain unforgiving. The party cuts through the horrors—but it is not the end. The ground trembles. A crack splits the beach. And from below, Yastogmaika emerges. A colossal sea-serpent deity, scaled in barnacles and dripping shadow, uncoils from the depths. Her maw opens—not in hunger, but judgment. She speaks no words. She simply ends. Foiled
