Aran Mecha

Vedalken captain of the MS Anne (originally the MS Sirja, named for his wife Kilijan's mother). Endolynn Redstream paid him 3,500 gp to ferry the party into the Sea of Swords. Freezes when he sees Kilijan: Aran is Kilijan's father. His ship was cut in half by Chernobog's chain-cannonball; he chose to go down with it, but was rescued in flight by Serge on metal wings. Aran sold his Cape of Leaves to Maiko because it was the only thing that kept him going after returning to Kelwentown to find his son gone and his wife dead — the cape gave him the will to leave and try to protect Kilijan from afar.
