Orc Ambushes and Shady Proposals

The Orc Slayers stood witness as Ana Kinn returned from her quiet state. Šum Lišća, the kenku necromancer, had completed the work, and the cost had been paid. With Ana Kinn restored, Malcer Lynk Hornraven, Lorilon Duskwalker, Kosara Amakir, Gambino Marino, Emmen, and Omihi Kakurenbo prepared to leave Port Last. The full group made ready for the journey back to Helm's Hold. Their travels progressed without significant incident for some time. However, as they moved through a wooded stretch of road, a group of orcs burst from the trees. The ambush was sudden, but the Orc Slayers reacted quickly. They engaged the attacking orcs, neutralizing the threat. After the brief skirmish, the path ahead was clear once more. The Orc Slayers continued their journey. They eventually sighted the familiar fortifications of Helm's Hold on the horizon. The group approached the gates, passing under the watchful eyes of the paladin guards. Upon their entry into Helm's Hold, several of these same paladin guards approached the group. They did not waste time with pleasantries. The paladins stated they had received reports of the Orc Slayers' recent activities in the city's ancient sewer system. They informed Malcer Lynk Hornraven, Lorilon Duskwalker, Kosara Amakir, Ana Kinn, Emmen, and Omihi Kakurenbo that they were expected to address the situation. The paladins demanded the Orc Slayers attend to the lingering issues their presence had stirred within the tunnels beneath Helm's Hold.
