Synopsis
The party lets Vani escape again and, without having the ability to say goodbye, part with Weneon.
Ch. 1
Cold Open
We witness a young Weneon practicing his crossbow skills in the presence of his grandfather Xanzin. The grandfather berates the child for aiming too high and seems extremely irritated by his attempt to successfully hit a target in the bullseye. He constantly repeats the words lower, but Weneon does not seem to be able to adjust his aim correctly.
The grandfather leaves and Weneon finally succeeds, but, when he turns around, his grandfather has already left for Emrys.
Ch. 2
Part 1
The party faces Vani for the second time. The kenku, having learned his lesson from their last fight, leaves honor aside and fights mostly from a safe distance. However, in the second half of the fight, once he was out of arrows, he decided to switch to close combat.
After one fatal fly by attack, he is successfully grappled by Weneon, preventing him from flying away.
Vani manages to kill Kilijan and mortally wound Weneon. Attacks from the other’s, however, force Vani to retreat. He opens a portal in a tree, kills Weneon and teleports away after warning Manasa that the loss he experienced was the same done to him by the inhabitants of this village they are in.
Manasa is furious and lashes out by hitting a house in the village with an eldritch blast. Tiffiffanny surrounds them with archers, while Melcior warns Manasa to keep calm. The party decides to obey and lays down their weapons. Melcior approaches Kilijan and Weneons bodies and resurrects them using two diamonds.
She returns to the house and the party discusses the act of resurrection. Kilijan goes to the house and catches Melcior counting something on her bed. She quickly puts the items she counted away, and Kilijan thanks her for bringing him back to life.
She tells him that their ways will part in the morning, but that the one party member who is a liability to all of them will pay by sunset for his acts.
Meanwhile, Tiffiffanny demands a name in return for the damage and the danger the party got the village into. She expects an offer by morning.
The party discusses how to protect Manasa from Melcior. (Kilijan informed them about how she alluded to killing him.)
As they fall asleep, Ashki, Manasa’ patron, tells him to burn the Vernes village down to punish them. Manasa considers it a bit, but decides to fall asleep instead.
Ch. 3
Part 2
The party wakes up in the woods south of Brable. Lorkhan and Weneon are in the cyclops camp and manage to make their way out by sneaking through the night while discussing Lorkhan’s lack of a male reproductive organ.
Mycha, Manasa, and Kilijan are trying to find Weneon and Lorkhan in the woods.
They finally manage to meet at a ruined tower deep in the woods.
The tower seems to have been built some 700 years ago and its murals depict the story of his founder, a high-elf woman boarded on a flying ship.
Their investigation is cut short by a mysterious black humanoid carrying a white sack towards the tower (most probably to place it on the white marble sacrifice table placed in the middle of the tower).
The black-hooded figure sees the party and runs away. The party makes their way back to Brable and Lorkhan finds the white sack tossed into a bush. A newborn fawn, barely alive, was inside the sack. The birth water still dripping from its fur. Lorkhan decides to bring it with him, as he realizes the birth water to be the same substance he noticed on the sacrificial altar in the tower.
Ch. 4
Part 3
The party arrives in Brable and is greeted by Samsam, the small fanboy of Manasa. He tells them how everybody is talking about them laying waste to the goblin settlement. They learn later from Rhaool that the Cape of Leaves was stolen and that they hope the Uninvited could help them with finding it. Kilijan finds a quail feather inside the display case.
The suspicion falls on Amnen, who has not arrived back to the town.
Kilijan spends the rest of the day embellishing the armor of all party members. Mycha buys a shield from Luna, Manasa is asked by Rahool to try to be a better role model to the kids of the village, Lorkhan tries to save the fawn in his care, but has to bury it a few hours later. Susie’s (the fawn’s) heart simply gave up.

Weneon practices his shooting skills in the woods and tries to shoot down a quail. After missing it, he attempts to catch it with his hands. It runs out, however, that the quail was Safwalyn in beast form. She is wearing the Cape of Leaves (Malcer) and asks him if he was done with the "pederima". Weneon agrees to go with her and both of them leave the village.
Back in the guest house, Kilijan presents to them their new armor with a keyhole design engraved on them. They waited for Weneon until midnight, but he never returned to the house.
Before falling asleep, the town is suddenly awakened by the arrival of Amnen, exhausted and beaten up to the bones, carrying two fawns wrapped in white sheets in his hands.
