Synopsis
The Uninvited are tasked by Rahool to locate missing fishermen and a dragonborn teacher. They travel with Amnen, a ranger, to the goblin settlement in the east. In the Feywild, they negotiate with a korrid guarding a bridge and learn from Melcior, Selena's bodyguard, that Selena escaped. Melcior kills the korrid and the party follows her to find Selena. Upon returning to Thur Valley, Amnen's amulet activates and the party unlocks a poem, prompting Amnen to ask what they have seen.
Ch. 1
Part 1
Before they join the feast prepared for them in Brable's tavern Weld Mag, the Uninvited scour the village for a few hours.
Lorkhan tries to make some money by selling the loot they collected in the Feywild, while Kilijan prepares by finding suitable clothing for the mountains in Dale's family-owned tailor business. Weneon finds a field of dandelions and speaks to Blink. He learns that Blink has a strange pet named Fluffy by his side. Manasa hangs out in front of the village center of Brable and eats seeds. Mycha is looking around the town to see how the people live.
Anabel approaches Manasa and asks him a few questions about them and why they are called "The Uninvited Guests". Manasa is prosaic in his answers and does not go into details. She then gives him a note and asks him to give the note to Mycha during the feast. Anabel leaves and a human boy named Samsam approaches Manasa, who teaches them about how cool it is to smoke. Samsam tells him that his father Hanus would never allow him that.
Later in Weld Mag, the party is joined by Kalvin and Rahool at their table, where Rahool finally tells them why he was excited to get some "outside" help. He tells them about two groups of fishermen led by Hanus and Jenna, who disappeared two months ago, after not returning from their trip and Mysta Lake. Rahool explains how the hunters and the fisherman from the village dare to go outside of their jurisdiction during winter time, when they know that no Thur soldiers will be travelling the grounds.
However, now that spring is coming, their hunting will be again suppressed inside their jurisdiction, which is the eastern part of Thur Valley, as per agreement with the city of Thur.
The second problem Rahool tells them about is the disappearance of Farrosh, the female dragonborn teacher that went investigating one month ago to Octozan, a dragon cult settlement to the north of Brable. The settlement appeared a few years ago, and the hunters have avoided the region ever since.
When asked if Blink could drive them with the phase spider, Rahool explains that the spiders have no use in the dense woods, and only work in the open fields in central Thur Valley. Rahool then summons from another table a ranger by the name of Amnen Wellcall, whose trusty dog Ralf sits by his side. He joins them, and Rahool informs them that Amnen will lead them to the locations if they choose to help them.
Amnen points out that he does not agree with Rahool's priorities and tells them about the goblin settlement to the east of Brable, where the main pathway to the mountains is located. The party discusses it for a moment, to which Rahool remembers to tell them that they have been ready to pay 200 gp for the services. Weneon suggests sticking to their original plan of finding the mythral shipment, to which Rahool increases their offer to 300 gp.
The party accepts and leaves for the night. Mycha, who read the note from Anabel, meets her at the mill as she asked him to do. Weneon goes to bed, while the rest of the party follow Mycha without him noticing.
Anabel and Mycha meet near the mill, and she tells him about her dreams to be free like them and travel the world. She only knew the village all her life, but wanted to see the rest of the world. Mycha tells her that she is already in the best possible place, and nothing trumps what he's seen in Brable. She then looks up to the stranded ship on the mountain peak above Brable and reminisces as to how the legend of the ship came to be. A captain from far away did not consider the winds of the Thus Mountains and stranded there with his crew, haunting the place forevermore. She tells him how she sometimes dreams of being on the ship herself and imagines where it may have taken her.
Mycha tells her that his travels will lead him back to a woman, he is not sure if she is waiting for him. Anabel seems to understand and accepts. Before leaving, he teaches her the Song of Felshroun, and whistles it to her. Hearing that tune again, Kilijan exposes himself and Mycha notices. He waits for Anabel to leave, and then confronts the party for sneaking up on him.
They argue about for a while, and Kilijan asks Mycha to not whistle the tune ever again. When asked by Mycha why, Kilijan yells to just not whistle it.
Back at the guest house, Weneon enters his room and is immediately confronted by Safwalyn. She attacks him for not getting back to her after she wrote him the letter in Oeble, but immediately asks him what the plan is and if the four he is travelling with are the marks. Weneon tells her that he is still making some arrangements, and Safwalyn informs him how she followed them around and was not sure what the long game was.
She then tells him that she will wait in Brable to scout out the area while Weneon gains the trust of the townsfolk by doing some "stupid goblin quest with the four faggots", as she puts it. She disappears as soon as she leaves.
The party makes a long rest and feels how they are being pulled into the feywild. However, in the morning they are still in Brable.
Ch. 2
Part 2
While travelling to the goblin settlement in the east with Amnen, the Uninvited learn that he is a rather crafty ranger with a lot of knowledge in his skills.
Amnen talks to Weneon about having no experience in traversing the woods and that he is the poster child of a real city boy. Weneon agrees and curses the woods. Amnen then encourages him and helps him pick up the pace.
As they are crossing a small river, Mycha is grabbed by a piranha and Amnen catches it before it could bite deep into Mycha's leg. He tells them to keep an eye out in the future, to which Mycha shows him his mechanical hand. Amnen teases him to be afraid of the one who created the hand for him, as he could decide to take control of it.
Manasa is in the afternoon attacked by a swarm of stinger bees. Amnen runs to helo him, but Manasa managed to get rid of them on his own. Amnen is impressed but removes one stinger bee from Manasas neck and gives him a tincture to put on the skin-deep sting. Amnen then asks him about his patron and if he trusts it. Manasa answers positively, to which Amnen suggests talking to Luna about her grandfather, who also trusted his patron until, eventually, it came back to bite him.
Amnen tells Lorkhan about how everyone thought that the appearance of the Doumir meant the end of the world. Lorkhan tells him that he isn't very knowledgeable about the history, to which Amnen replies that no one really does about anyone's ancestors.
While searching for a good place for the night, Amnen is impressed by Kilijan's note-taking skills and how he managed to predict where Amnen would propose a camp site. He then asks Kilijan if he could make a mechanical leg for Ralf's pup, who had been born with only three legs. Kilijan agrees to do so after returning to Brable.
They make camp and prepare to sleep, when Amnen learns from them that they are anxious to not be there in the morning once they are pulled into the Feywild. Amnen shows them his feywild token, a giant's toenail, and explains to them that they need to attune to it once they arrive there in order for the time skip to not occur.
Ch. 3
Part 3
As predicted, the party is pulled into the feywild and continue travelling with Amidor to the bridge Lorkhan scouted out on the map. They arrive there and Amidor explains that the bridge is claimed by a korrid. He explains that the korrid's are bizarre creatures even by feywild standards.
A korrid mounting a jabberwocky emerges from the river, and a feywidlian argument ensues over what to pay for crossing the bridge. Amidor is tiered of talking to the korrid and lets the party deal with him. Lorkhan teleports Weneon to the other side of the river, to which the korrid does not attack them, but suggests they apologize. The party is not really sure what the korrid wants from them.
Korrid affair
In the midst of the negotiation, the korrid suddenly attacks them, out of nowhere. He is surprised by his own hostile action, and looses his first turn. During the fight, Lorkhan teleports him in-between the party to pounce on him. The jabberwocky flies away and leaves the korrid behind. His only defense strategy is turning into a stone.
Weneon hides in the bushes at the other side of the river and finds Melcior there, a female human cleric, weirded out by the whole situation the same way he is. She tells him to inform them not to kill the korrid, but Weneon is too late, as Mycha deals his final blow.
As a surprise to everyone (especially the dungeon master), Mycha does not kill the korrid, but knocks him out.
Melcior gets down on her knees and uses her divine intervention to teleport the party to her and Weneon. Amidor immediately recognizes her as the bodyguard of Selena. Melcior approaches the korrid and heals him. As he comes to his senses, she asks him not to be afraid and just answer her question: Did he see someone else cross the bridge recently. The korrid refuses to answer, to which Melcior heals him more. The korrid is thankful and shares with her that he recently saw a troop of harengon make their way to the south and how he overheard them speaking about Selen having escaped in a hot air balloon.
Melcior thanks him for the answer and hugs him gently before snapping his neck, killing him. "He fulfilled his purpose", she explains to the party and orders Amidor to follow her to the south to look for Selena. Amidor oblidges, but the party can tell that he is not too happy about it and decides to come along.
On their way, they learn that Selena might have a way out of the feywild, and Melcior explains that by corrupting the feywild, Baba Yaga made it possible that creatures like Vani can use the feywild as a hunting ground for revenge. The party attunes to their feywild tokens and goes to sleep. Amidor refuses to sleep, explaining how he will stand guard in case Vani comes.

Part 4
Thur Vallez Rest
The party is not found by Vani and wakes up in Thur Valley. Amnen teases them by telling them that he looked for them for weeks, but then starts laughing and goes about eating his breakfast while playing with Ralf.
Lorkhan notices that Amnen left all of his belongings unguarded, which tells him that he trusts them. Weneon tries to climb a tree to see where the goblin settlement might be. He does not see the settlement, but his eyes are drawn to a plateau on a mountain top. Amnen mentions to him that this is the Plateau of Gods.
As Weneon climbs down the tree, the amulet Amnen is about to put around his neck starts to glow. Weneon and the rest of the party feel being drawn to the amulet, as if it wants something from them. Amnen is surprised and explains to them that he inherited the amulet from his grandfather, but could never activate it.
It is a Medallion of Records, and the party decides to share their experience to unlock one of the poems recorded on it. They listen to Poem #3: Of Immortal Mountains and Mortal Men.
As the poem finishes, Amnen asks them: "What have you seen?"
Ch. 5
Medallion of Records Vision (Poem #3)
The uninvited experienced a shared vision from the past after unlocking Poem #3 from the Medallion of Records.
[[The New Leaves]] decided to make their way to Evereska and find Mordenkainen. During a rest on their journey, Elminster appeared and asked them why they sought the destruction of the Soulmonger. He warned them that Acererak, who constructed the Soulmonger, would not be an easy task, and neither would confronting Mordenkainen.
Elminster then showed them five capes, which he called Capes of Leaves. He explained he had spent the last few decades creating them from the capes of Lorilon, Malcer, Raijin, Bambara, and Darius. The five Capes of Leaves wore their names accordingly: Cape of Leaves, Lorilon; Cape of Leaves, Malcer; Cape of Leaves, Raijin; Cape of Leaves, Bambara; and Cape of Leaves, Darius.
He specified that these were magic items which could only be activated in places with strong magic, such as the Outer Planes. Odd suggested trying to activate them in the Phandelver Spellforge. Elminster then teleported them back to Phandalin. They asked Fossa to help them activate the capes.
It took Fossa one year to activate the first cape, and another year to activate the other four. Equipped with these strong magic gowns, the New Leaves decided to visit Mordenkainen. Neverember protested and begged them to first go to Neverwinter and restore the city. They decided otherwise, promising him they would deal with Neverwinter once they dealt with the Soulmonger and Gambino.
Gambino, however, had beaten them to it. All the New Leaves found on the Everesk mountain were the bodies of a hoard of lightning dragons. After investigating Mordenkainen's devastated tower, they discovered Mordenkainen's simulacrum. The simulacrum was a clone into which Mordenkainen's consciousness transferred if he died. The simulacrum did not appear animated. The New Leaves concluded that Mordenkainen was not killed, but kidnapped by Gambino.
Since Elminster was the strongest ally they had, they decided to seek him out. They traveled to the Dalelands, where it was rumored he was hiding. On their way there, Arahna suggested taking the southern route through Jagomir and Westgate to reach The Dalelands. In Jagomir, a small village on the shores of the Lake of Dragons, Arahna revealed that this was the hometown of her late husband Omihi.
They continued traveling and learned in the city of Westgate that a powerful wizard had summoned a giant island on top of the Thunder Peaks mountains to the north. They made their way up and found a giant island floating above the mountains. They managed to get onto it and discovered that Neverember had betrayed them, siding with Gambino and telling him about their plan to find Elminster.
As the New Leaves fought Gambino, he gained the upper hand. Just as he was about to finish them, Lena, the young psion girl, flew above him and stunned him. Lena told the New Leaves to run away, but they refused. Neverember ran towards the stunned Gambino and took a ring of three wishes from his hands. Neverember then cast a wish spell to kill Lena.
As Lena fell to the ground, the New Leaves screamed in anger. The leaves pattern on their capes started to glow with a mighty energy beam. The beam cut the entire island in half, and it began plummeting towards the earth. To save the rest of the New Leaves from the fall, Arahna sacrificed herself and fell to her death, while the rest of the party managed to make it to the ground alive.
As they watched the island fall from the skies and crash into the mountain, they heard the voice of Elminster. He told them they should not seek him, for he had made it his mission to protect only one life from then on, that of his daughter, far away from the material plane.
