Synopsis

Weneon is dealing with the death of Tuggs, while the rest of the party tries to help according to the best of their judgement.

Ch. 1
Cold Open
We see a wood-elf in the woods trying to unearth something from the soil. As the wood-elf is digging, a female bloodhunter approaches him and asks: "Lorilon, are you sure it is here?". Lorilon, covered in mud, sighs and tells her that he is certain that the artifact is here. She asks him then how it will helpo with the origami killings, to which Lorilon answers that she should not worry about it too much. As he keeps digging, he stumbles upon a small chest and retrieves a medallion from it. The female bloodhunter apprentice asks him if that medallion will help them find the Origami Killer. Lorilon answers that he already knows where the killer is, and tells her that they are heading to Waterdeep.
Ch. 2
Part 1
Weneon is trying to dig a hole for the body of Tuggs. Mycha spots him and approaches him after a training session with Tristan. Seeing that Weneon is dismantled, he does not know what to do in that moment. A couple of workers pass by on the road a few hundered feet from them and ask if they need help. Mycha tries to get rid of them by telling them that Weneon is just drunk and requires a second to collect himself. One of the field workers, Patt, is not convinced and starts to apporach them through the woods. Weneon is readying his dagger. Lorkhan sees what is going on and runs towards them. He stumbles and falls for a brief second, drawing Patt's attention. Mycha picks up Tuggs body to pull it away. At that moment, Patt sees it and starts screaming. Lorkhan teleports next to him and disintegrates his flesh from his bones. The other worker starts screaming and running towards the village. Lorkhan tries to catch him, but gives up when he realizes that the worker already reached the main road of the village out of the woods. Lorkhan makes himself invisible and hides.
Ch. 3
Part 2
Hearing the villagers gathering in the village, Kilijan runs out of the house and hears them yelling that Taylor's guests killed someone in the woods. Kilijan sneaks out of the village and runs towards the forest. He finds a distraught Weneon and Mycha, with the body besides them. He grapples Weneon and drags him back to the village using the path through the thick woods, and tells Mycha to pick up the body and follow him. Mycha, however, tries to hide the body and approaches the angry mob of villagers on the main road through the woods. He stands in front of them and tries to reason with them. They are not willing to listen to him, although they are extremely scared of him. Lorkhan appears, and the villagers get even more anxious about their possible retribution. Mycha tells them that he wants to talk to Taylor and explain what happened. The villagers decline and ask both of them to lay down their weapons. One of the villagers runs to the village to get Taylor. Mycha decides to retrieve the body of Tuggs from the woods. The villagers are in shock, and Mycha starts marching towards them with the body in his hands. He parts the mass of villagers, and listens to their angsty murmurs condemning Mycha and their actions. Mycha reaches the village, where Taylor, Tristan, and Serge await him. Mycha pleas to them to listen. Taylor orders the men to take body of Tuggs and bring it to the infirmary. He tells Mycha then to wait in his house.
Ch. 4
Part 3
Kilijan and Weneon arrive, in the meantime, in the house, and Kilijan tries to calm Weneon down. Zendekay is at the hosue and asks what the hell is going on. Kilijan tries to explain and tells her that everything will be made allright. Sensing his new-found paladin morale in his presence, Zendekay tells him that she has enough of paladins telling her her whole life that everything will be alright. She stabs Kilijan with a skewer, then packs her belongings and leaves. She tells Weneon to not abandon the city without saying goodbye to Terrania, who is sleeping upstairs. Lorkhan and Mycha arrive, and soon after them, Taylor enters the house. Kilijan tries to assure him to trust in them making things right again. He demands of Taylor to give them the body of the kid so they can bring it to the Feywild with them to be ressurected. Taylor is against this idea, stating that they have already done enough to stain his reputation in the city. Lorkhan interrupts him by showing him the mortal remains of Patt, whose bones Lorkhan packed into his bag of holding earlier. Taylor is repusled by this sight and slaps Lorkhan. He then tells the rest of the party to pack their things by morning and leave his house, stating that they are uninvited to be his guests. Mycha leaves for the beach and is about to hang himself, but returns half an hour later with his belt missing. In the meantime, Kilijan convinced Weneon to break into the infirmary and go along with his plan. Lorkhan is against it, and leaves for the town to find chalk in order to teleport back to Oeble. Kilijan goes after him. They talk about their lost childhoods, but Kilijan fails to convince Lorkhan to join them in their plan. Meanwhile, Weneon scouts the area around the infirmary and notices no guards anywhere. Kilijan returns to the house and makes Weneon and himself invisible, while dressing Mycha as a nurse to get entrance into the in infirmary. As they leave to enact on Kilijan's plan, Mycha suddenly remembers what happened at the beach. As he was about to hang himself, he saw a vision of a tiefling calling to him to not go quietly into the gentle night, as his purpose is yet to be fulfilled. Mycha then sensed a relief around his neck, as Tristan had cut it from the tree Mycha was trying to hang himself on. With this newly found rigor, Mycha approaches the door to the infirmary. He glimpses to the side and sees Tristan and Serge tying up two of Aster's men, who were waiting to ambush potential intruders. Mycha whispers subconciously the name Omihi, as he opens the door to the infirmary.
Ch. 5
Medallion of Records Vision (Poem #4)
The party unlocked Poem #4 and received a vision. The New Leaves returned to Nidfor, where they buried Arahna next to Omihi's grave. They then made their way back to Phandalin and asked Fossa about the beam that had been cast from the Capes of Leaves. Fossa explained to them that she had only managed to activate part of the capes’ imbued powers while working on them. She suggested that the intense situation probably had something to do with the surge in power the Capes of Leaves experienced. The New Leaves knew that Gambino was after the Soulmonger, trying to find a way to Chult to find him there. They argued for a while over whether to go to Chult and deal with the Soulmonger first, or if they should find the city of Neverwinter and try to restore it. They decided to stay put in Phandalin for the winter, helping to protect the city from potential raiders. One night, a band of Delirium intoxicated Orcs attacked Phandalin. While defending the city, the New Leaves realized the entire raid was a set-up. Adona and Sha ran back to the Villa of the Leaves and found a goblin alchemist named Vates and two of his orc bodyguards attempting to steal the Cape of Leaves Arahna wore, the one named Bambara. Vates managed to get away with the Cape. The New Leaves fought off the remaining raiders. Fossa, having endured enough danger to her Forge of Spells in Phandelver, started constructing an iron dome around Phandalin. With the approach of spring, Kosara, an old friend of the Leaves and a former member of them, visited and gifted them a Medallion of Records, a magic item that recorded the dangers they would face. When asked why it was necessary, Kosara told them, "So the ones who come after us, don't make the same mistakes over again." Kosara then recorded what they had experienced so far onto the Medallion of Records. The New Leaves then left for the Border Kingdoms, where they sensed the elder dragon they had banished earlier was, hoping it would lead them to Neverwinter. After months of travel, they finally arrived at the Lake of Steam, an enormous sea north of the Border Kingdoms. They rested for a few weeks in Tulmon, a coastal city at the far western part of the Lake of Steam, where the lake met the Shining Sea. The New Leaves later arrived in Derlusk via ship. They began investigating the area and heard about an extraordinary city called Oeble, where a surge in power had caused a boom in artificer technology, surpassing even Thur in magnitude. A few months later, the New Leaves found out that Neverwinter had been transported to the underdark beneath Oeble. While trying to find a way down into Neverwinter, they were attacked by abominations called the Corrupted Leaves. The Corrupted Leaves were created by Gambino so they could wear the Cape of Leaves. These Corrupted Leaves represented the antithesis of the original Leaves and resembled them even physically. Gambino had lost Lena as the source of power to achieve his goals, and so he killed Janus and used Neverember to find the Neverwinter ruins. His goal was to create the Corrupted Leaves and then seek out and kill the Soulmonger. The New Leaves agreed to work with Gambino and tackle the Soulmonger together. Neverember, now betrayed for the second time regarding the resurrection of Neverwinter, killed Sha Shou Ho and took her cape. Gambino was furious and tried to kill Neverember, but Neverember fled into the depths of the Neverwinter underdark. The rest of the New Leaves then left for Chult to kill the Soulmonger for good.
