Ch. 1
Part 1
Malcer, Lorilon, Kosara, Ana, Osmihi, and Emmen re-entered the Abandoned Leilon Mines after leaving jail. They moved through the familiar, damp passages, searching for the parcels Temper Golakk had described. The group systematically checked the hidden spots they had previously identified. After some time, they located all of Temper Golakk's packages. The retrieval went smoothly, without any immediate trouble from city guards or other patrols. They secured the items, preparing to leave the mine. Instead of returning the way they came, Malcer Lynk Hornraven led the group toward a less-used passage. They navigated to a section of the mine that contained a secret tunnel, one that offered an alternative exit to the north. The tunnel was narrow and dusty, but it allowed them to bypass the main entrance entirely. The party emerged from the tunnel into a less overgrown area outside the mine. The exit led them away from the immediate vicinity of Leilon. As they adjusted to the daylight, they noticed signs of habitation nearby. A small camp was visible through the trees, smoke rising lazily from a fire pit. It appeared to be a bandits' camp, judging by the makeshift shelters and rough individuals moving about. While observing the camp the party encountered an individual separate from the main group of bandits. This person was Luvian Mahkeep, who appeared to be a rogue. Luvian Mahkeep watched them with an unreadable expression.
