Prisoners of Gods

The party stood before Mycha. Tasha then appeared and asked them if they trusted her now. The party, however, regarded Tasha with suspicion, and they also questioned if the individual before them was the true Mycha. As they argued amongst themselves, they eventually determined that this was, in fact, the real Mycha, but a conflict remained in their minds about whether to welcome him back. In the midst of this heated discussion, Manasa heard his patron Darius’s voice. Darius stated that he had lost his patience. For the first time, Darius materialized not as light, but in his true physical form. He approached Mycha and quickly cut off his head. This action effectively brought an end to the argument. Darius then turned his attention towards Tasha. However, at that precise moment, a massive harengon army appeared and immediately launched an attack upon them.

Darius and Tasha joined forces to fight the armies in the sky. These forces rode wyverns, engaging Darius and Tasha in the open air. Below, the party dealt with the grounded troops. Darius summoned a Pegasus, which appeared swiftly. He mounted the Pegasus and charged into the aerial battle. Darius slaughtered the wyverns, cutting them down one after another until they fell from the sky. The harengon army, both in the air and on the ground, was defeated. Darius found Manasa and slapped him across the face. He informed Manasa that he would no longer be his patron. Darius then summoned a man named Luvian. He told Manasa that Luvian had been in his possession for hundreds of years. Luvian would now lead Manasa on his journey. Manasa learned from Darius that Luvian had once been a lowlife, much like Manasa himself. Luvian had redeemed himself and achieved celestial status. However, he had gone on Darius’s nerves while in Celestia. Darius had captured and imprisoned him until now. Kilijan buried Mycha. He laid Mycha to rest after the fighting concluded.

After the previous engagement, the party flew towards the tower. They observed a harengon army marching away in the direction of Zovik, but the party continued their journey, confident that Tamil and Taylor would engage with them. Upon arriving at the harengon base at the foot of the tower, the party located Selena. Selena proceeded to open the tower's entrance, its lock responding solely to her bloodline, which was tied to Elminster. She immediately stepped inside, while the rest of the party hesitated at the threshold. Kilijan began to survey the devastated base. He discovered Lorkhan's head impaled on a spike. From within the rubble of the base, Kilijan heard a faint sound. He investigated and found a scared and hungry harengon deserter. Kilijan offered the deserter a ration, then rejoined the others at the tower entrance. A final memory unfurled, belonging to Greg, depicting him in his home village of Brka, rejoining dinner with his wife and his two children.
